TWO-HEART RANCH

Two‐Heart Ranch is a small 65-acre ranch in beautiful Eastern Oregon run by our family. Our ranch is an off‐the‐grid amazing piece of Earth where we raise our livestock on organic grains, legumes, kelp, and hay. We're working hard toward the goal of self‐sufficiency and self‐sustainability. We raise Nubian goats for their milk, Boer goats for meat, and New Hampshire Red and Delaware chickens for both eggs and meat. We also have hives of honey bees to pollinate our orchard and the native flora, and the bees share honey, cappings, and wax with us when they have leftover. We will be introducing a small band of Colored Angora goats this year and I'll spin and weave their gifts of mohair. Also this spring we'll be adding Hampshire piggies and Spanish goats!

Our ranch is in a very isolated and natural area, and we are frequently visited by coyote, wolf, mountain lion, bobcat, badger, and large birds of prey. These animals are native to our region and have a very important place within our ecosystem. At the same time, our livestock needs to be protected from predation. To fulfill the dual goals of honoring the local wildlife while protecting our livestock, we count on our amazing Turkish Kangal Livestock Guardian Dogs.
